YIN YOGA WORKSHOP

"Most forms of Yoga practiced today are Yang, they emphasize muscular movement and contraction. By contrast Yin Yoga targets the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. Yin postures are held three to five to ten minutes at a time. This type of practice complements the more muscular styles of Yoga and is a great aid for learning to sit in meditation." ~ Paul Grilley
We will go through the philosophy of Yin, anatomy affected, and lead a yin practice.

YOGA POSE PLAY WORKSHOP

For experienced students only. I will teach how to do the more "difficult" poses, including some partner sequences/assists. Again, philosophy and why these more "showy" poses are beneficial to health. If inexperienced students want to "audit" the class they may do so at a lower rate. Meaning they may sit on the side, hear the information and see the poses, but not as active participants.

BE-YOU-CHI-FULL BODY (for teenage girls ages 12-15)

Learn how to love your body! For teenage girls ages 12-15. Come and practice yoga and learn anatomy thru exploration. What kinds of stretches feel good for you? Which don't feel good? We will also learn about aromatherapy fragrances, how to use them for good health. We will also learn some easy massage techniques that we can practice on each other.

Awaken and enliven your body, mind and spirit with Pilates infused throughout my classes for abdominal strength along with Yoga poses. This class is suitable for those who want to maintain wellness and would like a "mellow" class for stress reduction as well as those who are less flexible and have limitations due to injuries. With this small class size, instructions can be personalized.

MAT PILATES (11+, Beginner Level)

Pilates is a system of exercise that creates long, lean muscles, and strong abdominals. In this beginning level class we will learn how to activate the deep core muscles using the breath, resistance bands, and light weights. It can be easy or hard, depending on how you "work it".

Rejuvenating flow Yoga practice which will indulge the physical body, emotions, mind, and heart. With a focus on breathing, balance and intention, this flow class links poses through movement and breath. It will help build strength and increase flexibility.

Learn how to use your body as your gym using visualized resistance and isometrics to shed fat and create lean muscle fast. Fitness and Wellness Expert, Wendie Pett, will assist you in learning exercises that do not put wear and tear on joints, tendons, or ligaments. Any age and any athletic ability are welcome.

MOMMY & ME YOGA FITNESS (Adult with child 0 to 12 months)

What a great class for Babies who want to have fun and work out with mom. With mom's help, this class teaches children the basics of listening, following directions & socializing in a classroom setting. This is still a full hour workout for mom with a warm up, stretching, Yoga strength exercises, abdominal work, baby yoga & massage and a cool down with stretching. Note: Please bring a baby blanket and one small toy to hold onto (keys & rattles work best). Bottles, sippy cups and snacks are welcome into class.
